Principal’s Page
Welcome to the Principal’s page. I'd like to take a short amount of space to introduce myself to the Green-Fields family. I've been a part of the West Deptford School System for six years, beginning as the Vice Principal for Curriculum at West Deptford Middle school in 2007. In 2008, I moved on to Red Bank Elementary where I served as Principal for five years.
Prior to my time in West Deptford, I worked as the Supervisor of Curriculum for the Westampton School District in Burlington County. I began my teaching career as a Health and Physical Education teacher, the vast majority of this time spent in the School District of Haddonfield. My wife Joyce and I live a short distance away in Collingswood. We have two children: Amy, who lives in the Dayton, OH area, and Lindsey, who is lives in Haverford, PA. We have two grandchildren, Aubrey who is just about two years old, and her little brother Mason, who arrived just before Christmas of 2015.
I love the elementary world and the energy that it brings. That said, you have my word that my foremost priority each day is to create a safe, productive, and enjoyable learning environment for each child in our care. Our goal is to provide your child with the tools necessary to become self-starting, independent learners. Our staff is committed to providing a quality instructional program within a warm and nurturing environment where children learn to work collaboratively with others, become contributors to their community, and produce quality work. In that regard, I am proud to be part of a neighborhood school where excellence is the standard.
Please take the time to say hello and introduce yourself if I don't know you. I've enjoyed the relationships I've developed with parents through the years here in West Deptford, and I'd like to continue that tradition here at Green-Fields. The home and school connection is vital to the success of any school building, and I'm looking forward to getting to know you all.
